The UK’s Default Retirement Age (DRA) to End in April 2011

On January 13 2011 the British Government announced that the Default Retirement Age (DRA) would be abolished in order to give the nation’s workers freedom of choice as to when they would like to retire, instead of the stipulated age 65, as has been the case to date. This measure will be implemented in stages between April 6 and October 1 2011.
