It Is A Matter of Politics
The problems of Greece are well known since the beginning of last year when many of the Greek people went on the streets protesting about the worsening economic climate in the state. However, recently, the problems seem to be escalating on political and social level when almost all of the EU restricted the access of emergency funds for the country only to cases of political stability. This would mean one thing only - that Greece would be able to use recovery funds only if it is able to maintain political order without inconfidence votes against the current government.
The people holding the roller banners protesting against the current political formations were not heard for the greater good. Greece knows that only through cuts and economic shortening of the industry it can obtain the so necessary funds for its recovery. The EU has also realized that the proper Euro stability would be threatened indirectly by political instability in the country of democracy. So the Greek Parliament voted confidence to the current government and the Greek can be calm that billions of Euros would enter the economy in the upcoming month.
The financial pack that EU provides thus seems to be quite politically oriented. Only selected political leaders can obtain the financial help for their countries, otherwise, Greece would be simply let alone in dealing with some of the most serious economic problems the European Union has ever encountered. Such a game of politics determines the stability of the EU economy and with or without the expected leaders, Greece should not be destined to starvation only because the people want to respect their right of free choice.
