Being The Confident Single Guy

I got this email from a friend - it makes him sound like a bit of a prick, but to be honest I actually think that its nice to hear someone be confidant in themselves for once:

You would think since I have been single for so long now that it means I’m having a bit of a self-esteem problem. Maybe you think I am just not good with the ladies. The truth is, I’m a confident single guy who (more…)

Analyzing the American Welfare System

Nadya Suleman, the infamous octupulet mom, has gotten Americans angry. Why? Well, she represents what many people believe is the epitome of the American welfare system – women who irresponsibly have babies in hopes of getting another government check. Yet, is such a view justified?

Well, there is a small subset of welfare women who have this mindset. But the overwhelming majority of welfare recipients are women who have no other resources available to them. Without the welfare, their kids (more…)

Could Obama Be the Bridge for Black & Asian Relations?

In America, race relations often boil down to white and something else. Rarely is there focus on how minorities interact with one another. This is especially the case with Blacks and Asians, two groups who have been polarized for many years.

Of course, it didn’t always start off that way. During the 1800’s, Chinese immigrants actually befriended blacks as the two worked side-by-side on the railroads. Many even went on to marry African-American women, due to the shortage of (more…)

Why Voting Doesn’t Matter in the U.S.

Why Voting Doesn’t Matter in the U.S.

That’s right, I said it– voting doesn’t matter in the U.S. Despite the fact that we now have a Black president, I still believe very strongly that voting is a smokescreen, it’s a cosmetic layer meant to give the people a feeling of security and safety. And that’s why I don’t feel a shred of guilt if I happen to miss the polls on Election Day.

Now, too many of my views may seem ironic– maybe even stupid, however it (more…)

America: Home of the Free and Land of the Sick

Over the weekend I had the privilege of watching one of Michael Moore’s latest documentaries–Sicko. And, like Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko exposed how media control, fear and corporate greed has ruined life for the little guy. But in this case the focus was on your health insurance– an issue that causes many Americans such as myself to see red.

In the documentary Moore exposed a very shocking yet sad truth. If you are a (more…)

U.S. Online Gambling Laws: Stupidity in the Making

How many companies would form a business presentation talking about how an online gambling site could increase their profits? And, before you laugh, consider that many companies often use Flash games to attract people to their websites. The days of simple banners have long gone. The Cartoon Network and even Lifetime for Women are examples. So, why would it be so far-fetched to use gambling to entice people?

Well, aside from general perceptions, there’s another more serious issue. In the (more…)

How the American Government is Taking Away Parent’s Rights

I was reading this american polotics blog, and I decided that some things needed to be said. In the U.S. hundreds of parents have gotten in legal trouble for spanking their kids. And we’re not talking about child abuse– where a child gets broken bones, bruises and other problems due to their spanking. Usually, these incidents involve a parent giving a child a quick swap on the bottom for misbehavior; nothing that is unacceptable by spanking proponents. Still, if (more…)

An insite into a majority US feeling from an american writer

The following is a article genuinly written by an american. I feel it gives a real insite into the feelings of many of the american people, a feeling that we here in Britain are not always aware of:

War on God

There was a time in our not too distant past when the assault began. It cannot be denied that our nation was founded on the principle belief in God. Exhibit A:

“When in the Course of human events, it (more…)

Can you copywrite Crimping - Honey monster go too far

Posted in: news |

You may have missed it but a huge unground movement is anger at the big furry cute Sugar monster. They made a big mistake but ripping off the popular cult comedy duo The Mighty Boosh. The Mighty Boosh invent a very distinct form of rapping called crimping, in which the two of them would sing a disjointed rap some usually about something quite random. In the latest advert the Honey monster completely ripped it off (badly too) .

It is clearly obvious the Sugar Puff have stolen Crimping, the big question is where do they stand on a legal point of view.  Can they sue? How do you measure something like this, the style is so obviously stolen, but it is only really a style. Surely if they could sue, multiple artists out there would be sueing each other each time they do a song which is slightly similar. there would be no progression in music at all. But that art, this is souless attempting to sell unhealthy cereal to childern, surely they could be sued.

Anyway they cut it Bray Leino, the creator (or as I like to call him the theif) has a lot to answer for. I hope they pull this advert as soon as possible.

Sorry for probable my most opionated post ever but I am not alone, just check this out Evil Sugar Puffs.
